Raj Haldar’s first children’s book, P is for Pterodactyl has been nothing short of a phenomenon spending 26 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List (peaking at #1) since its release in November 2018. But, for close to a decade, Raj has been better known for his critically-praised music under the moniker, Lushlife. In that time he has amassed a fervent global fan base and released award-winning music videos that highlight his erudite lyrics. The Sunday New York Times has described his musical work as an intoxicating mix of “captivating rhymes with audacious, gorgeous production.” With more than a decade of classical piano and jazz percussion  training (studying at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of Music and NYU) as well as a strong composition and orchestration background, Raj creates from a far-reaching musical palette, as evidenced by his genre-bending albums.As the official DJ to the Philadelphia Eagles, he has been tasked with programming a new, cutting-edge musical experience for fans in the stadium at home games for the last five seasons.Raj just released "No Reading Allowed", the follow-up to his hit children’s book in November 2020 (read a review in this week’s Wall Street Journal), and has signed a five-book deal with publisher,Sourcebooks (an imprint of Penguin-Random House).
